Double page scrapbook layout

Here is the double page scrapbooking kit which I created for the Scrap Addicts for August.  Our scrapbooking group has been doing this for a few years now, and it's so great to receive kits made by the girls in the group.

We're all still in love with scrapbooking all these years later - we've been scrapping since 1998.

Malaika

Little miss Malaika is not lovable at all.  Where Ruby constantly wants to sit on my lap and cuddle and rub up against me, Malaika doesn't like loves at all.  She's content to lie up against my leg and is usually somewhere close to me, but she doesn't like to be held.  I don't care, I pick her up and give her hugs and kisses all the time, she'll just have to get used to it!

Bounce

We recently met up with friends Bridget and Boo at Bounce in Fourways - the girls had a ton of fun.  Next time I also want to bounce!

Robbie and I are going to try 'clip and climb' on our next visit - it's a whole section of climbing walls.

Disney on Ice

We took the girls to see Disney on Ice last year for the first time, and we all loved it - the highlight was cars.  We went again this year, although several friends suggested that it's preferable to only go every 2 years, so that the show is fresh and different.  Well this year was better than last year, and we all loved it.  The Lion King was outstanding, especially the herds of animals.  Of course the girls loved the ice rink full of princesses.  We're trying to get them to understand that the Disney princesses are not real.

Flight simulator

Part of my beeeg job is to look after training for our company.  Together with Duke Corporate Education, we've created a special year long training program to upskill our Professional Services Consultants.

As part of the training program, we arranged training in the flight simulator at OR Tambo International Airport.  The learning was about making decisions under pressure in unfamiliar circumstances.  This is the real flight simulator which is used to train pilots for Comair.  Pilots spend hundreds of hours in the simulator, and the first time that they get into an actual aircraft, there are passengers in the back - eeeks!

The launch event

With our rockstar team from Duke -  Heidi, Lindy, Stuart (Director) and Leah, our awesome Program Manager

This is what they do to cheeky passengers - haha!

The briefing took place in the aircraft, and then we exited by jumping out down the emergency shute

It was a crazy fun day, with a very dishy pilot (Mark) doing the training in the flight simulator...just saying!

Sometimes my job is fun, but mostly, it's just a ton of very hard work.  Today was mega fun!
