Train trip over the Andes Mountains

While in Peru, Leonie and I did a magnificent train trip over the Andes Mountains from Cusco to Lake Titicaca.  We slept on the train overnight - the Belmondo Andean Explorer.  It was absolutely fabulous and total luxury.

 

The first stop of the journey was at Raqchi - the site of an old temple

We fell in love with the gorgeous Andes Mountains

The second stop was at La Raya - the highest point in our journey over the Andes Mountains

 

 

It was freezing cold at La Raya so back on the train, we warmed up with Drambuie and Espresso Martinis
