Here is the double page scrapbooking kit which I created for the Scrap Addicts for August. Our scrapbooking group has been doing this for a few years now, and it's so great to receive kits made by the girls in the group.

We're all still in love with scrapbooking all these years later - we've been scrapping since 1998.

Scrapbooking weekend

We escaped the city for the long weekend in June, and headed out to Zaagkuilsdrift Lodge. After settling in on Friday morning, we got down to scrapbooking.

The reception area was turned into our scrap room for the weekend

We saw 3 Marsh Owls just before sunset - it was a very special moment for all of us

On Sunday, Gerrie (the other Lodge owner) made gorgeous cupcakes for us

I love visiting Zaagkuil and I love scrapbooking so it was a weekend of total joy for me. I will be back, hopefully soon.

Scrapbooking layouts

Last weekend was a marathon scrapbooking weekend - it was total joy! Lynn and I scrapbooked from Friday morning through to Monday afternoon, and Leonie joined us on Saturday and Sunday. Here are a few photos of the weekend and some layouts to share...

Scrapbook layouts

Here are 2 recent scrapbooking layouts to share...

Lynn designed this beautiful Christmas page

Even though it took most of the day, Leonie and I enjoyed making this paper-piecing tortoise and the presents

This layout is from Hillcrest Art Supplies near Durban. I decorated the white background using Tim Holtz inks and a flower stencil

each of the presents and balloons were also shaded using Tim Holtz inks; it took a few days to get my fingers clean again!

The Scrap Addicts group have several scrapbooking dates coming up in the next few weeks - a 4 day scrap weekend at the end of April, a charity scrap day with Lara, a scrapbooking weekend away to Zaagkuil Lodge in June, and our usual monthly scrap dates. This makes me very happy!
